Non-League Day was set up by James Doe, an SWR Guard based at Waterloo, in 2010, and has gone on to become a national success story. As well as increasing awareness of grassroots football around the country. Non-League Day’s has been partners with Prostate Cancer UK for 13 years; so far raising over £250,000 and increasing awareness of the most common cancer in men.
Each year, football fans head out to catch a game at their local non-league club, while Premier League and Championship football pauses for international fixtures. This year, Non-League Day will take place on Saturday 28 March.
We're always looking for new and innovative ways to support the communities that our network serves, and Non-League Day was an ideal opportunity to remind people that not only are most non-league clubs essential parts of their local communities, but that travelling to games by train is the greenest and most sustainable way of getting there.

How do I get tickets to a Non-League Day match?
For the most part you can buy your tickets on arrival but an increasing number of clubs have online options too. For some particularly popular games, you're advised to buy in advance. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy online than paying on arrival - one or two clubs are offering early bird prices already!
How do I get to Non-League Day matches?
There are South Western Railway services to each of our selected Non-League Day matches.
