The Customer and Communities Improvement Fund (CCIF) is South Western Railway’s programme to support projects with a community benefit or that address an area of social need across our network.
Across all previous rounds of funding, we have backed more than 100 projects with a value of more than £7million. Across our network, this funding has gone towards important local causes and initiatives, delivering extensive social value and benefit.
CCIF 2025/26 has provided funding for 19 local projects across Devon, Dorset, Greater London, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Surrey and Wiltshire.
Grants have been awarded to support a varied range of schemes, from equipping a kitchen for young people to learn catering and hospitality skills in Southampton to community-based support for survivors of sexual harm.

“On behalf of everyone at Challengers, we extend our heartfelt thanks to South Western Railway's Customer and Communities Improvement Fund for their generous support of our Guildford Youth Summer Project. This funding will make a real difference to the lives of disabled young people who might otherwise miss out on the chance to enjoy fun and inclusive summer opportunities."
