The Isle of Wight Steam Railway is a multi-award winning heritage railway and museum set in the heart of the Isle of Wight’s countryside. Here you can enjoy a ride on the majestic steam trains, take in the Island’s stunning countryside and explore the four stations along the five and a half miles of line.
Why not take time to watch the locomotives being lovingly restored, or explore the award-winning interactive Train Story Discovery Centre where the magic of the steam engine comes alive. At the main station of Havenstreet, you can enjoy the company of the friendly station staff wearing traditional uniforms, take a stroll through the secluded woodland, relax and refuel in the Refreshment Rooms and visit the well-stocked gift and collectible shop.
The Isle of Wight Steam Railway is also home to Haven Falconry Bird of Prey Centre, which boasts the Island’s largest bird of prey collection, with regular flying demonstrations.
Whilst Island line is upgraded, a replacement bus service will be in operation from Ryde Esplanade to Havenstreet, on the hour from 10:00 to 16:00.
