From busy urban stations and quaint country halts to modern trains and heritage industrial environments, we can offer you a variety of venues to suit most needs. Our stations are located across south west London, Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and Devon, offering ease of access from most locations.

A busy station in the heart of the Surrey commuter belt, Woking is a film-friendly multi-platform station with regular train services, providing the backdrop of a bustling town centre. Built in the streamline moderne style, there are numerous period features adding to the atmosphere. A bay platform makes it an ideal venue for filming train boarding scenes – we can even provide the train!

Richmond station

A busy London station that as well as hosting South Western Railway services, also acts as a terminus for District Line and London Overground routes as well. Another prime example of art deco design, the pedestrianised area at the station front is perfect for second unit filming and establishing shots.

Strawberry Hill Depot

A quiet corner of our Strawberry Hill depot can serve as an abandoned industrial location, or we can provide a train to help fill the space.

Filming onboard

We offer hire of individual trains, both static and moving on our network. Our modern fleet provides an ideal setting for commuter and long-distance railway carriages, with both first and standard class available.

Location fees

Filming and photography fees are based on crew size and time required on site. All filming crews may be accompanied by a member of South Western Railway staff to assist with logistics and to ensure your safety – this is included as part of your fee.

Filming requests need a period of 10 working days to be reviewed.

The following documents will be required for review:

  • Limited Liability Insurance documents
  • Risk Assessment (RAMS) documents
  • Work Plan detailing crew/cast numbers and details of the shoot
