Alterations in May 2025

• 04-05-2025 to 05-05-2025

  Buses replace trains between Woking / Basingstoke and Andover / Winchester on Sunday 4 and Monday 5 May

  Locations Affected:

  All CrossCountry services to / from Southampton Central / Bournemouth

  South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour / Poole / Weymouth / Exeter St Davids, and between Woking and Alton

  Engineering work is taking place between Woking and Andover / Winchester, closing all lines.

  CrossCountry:

  Trains will be diverted, and will not call at Basingstoke, Winchester or Southampton Airport Parkway.

  Journey times will be extended by 60 minutes.

  Rail replacement road transport will operate between Reading / Basingstoke and Winchester.

  South Western Railway:

  Buses will replace trains between:

  • Woking and Basingstoke
  • Woking and Andover
  • Woking and Winchester

  Engineering work scheduled to take place between Staines and Windsor & Eton Riverside has been cancelled, and will not take place.

  Trains to / from Windsor & Eton Riverside will run as normal.

  You can use London Buses, or Southern services between Clapham Junction and Battersea Park at no extra cost

  Battersea Park, Clapham Junction and Vauxhall stations are all within a short distance of Queenstown Road.

  South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Salisbury / Gillingham (Dorset) / Yeovil Junction / Yeovil Pen Mill / Exeter St Davids, between Reading and Yeovil Pen Mill / Salisbury / Gillingham (Dorset) / Romsey

  Engineering work is taking place between Andover and Romsey / Tisbury, closing all lines.

  Great Western Railway:

  Buses will replace trains between Warminster and Salisbury / Southampton Central.

  For Romsey, you should use South Western Railway replacement buses, at no extra cost.

  South Western Railway:

  Buses will replace trains between:

  • Andover and Gillingham (Dorset)
  • Salisbury and Romsey
