Important Changes coming to South Western Railway Blue Badge parking
Please find the current process below to register your Blue Badge for parking up to 30th June 2025.
From 1st July 2025 we will be moving to a new system supplier; customers will need to register with the new supplier. Further details will be available on this website and at South Western Railway ticket offices by mid-June.
Please note: Even if you are currently registered directly with us, you will be required to re-register to ensure you can continue to benefit from complimentary parking at South Western Railway managed stations with your Blue Badge from 1st July.
South Western Railway do not charge Blue Badge holders to park at Car Parks for which we are responsible, this includes car parks at most of the stations we serve, provided customers register their Blue Badge with us.
Customers who are Blue Badge holders must register with South Western Railway no later than 23:59 on the first day of parking, however once registered customers may park at any of our stations until the expiry of their Blue Badge permit or until advised otherwise.
Customers should register by completing the form below, including attaching a photograph of their Blue Badge.
It is recommended all customers complete this form themselves, or request a friend or family member to complete on their behalf, to enable South Western Railway to contact all customers to advise of any future changes.
As an alternative, any customers who do not have access to the internet or means of arranging registration by a friend or family member, may register by presenting their Blue Badge at any South Western Railway ticket office during normal opening hours, but are then responsible for checking any changes to parking arrangements when using our car parks. Staff at the ticket office will take a copy of the Blue Badge and complete the registration on the customer’s behalf. If the ticket office is closed, customers should pay the normal public rate for parking until they are able to register. Customers must allow sufficient time to register before travelling.
- Please note: Guildford, Clapham Junction and London Waterloo ticket offices cannot assist with Blue Badge station parking registrations as these car parks are managed by Network Rail not South Western Railway.
- South Western Railway also serves some stations which are managed by other Train Companies, any Blue Badge parking information should be obtained from the relevant operator.
Complimentary parking for registered Blue Badge holders applies to all Blue Badge or normal spaces in our car parks, but does not include 20 minute bays. We ask Blue Badge holders to use dedicated bays wherever space is available. Customers must display their Blue Badge when parking in any space at our stations, even after registering.
Customers may receive a Penalty Notice for any of the following reasons:
- Customers who do not register by 23:59 on the day of parking.
- Customers who do not clearly display their Blue Badge in their vehicle windscreen.
- Customers who have not re-registered after expiry of their Blue Badge.
- Customers who have not re-registered when using a new or different vehicle.
- Customers who do not park in a marked bay or who park in a 20 minute bay for longer than 20 minutes.
