1. Glide Ice Rink & Fairground

Glide at Battersea Power Station is a must-visit festive attraction, featuring London’s only riverside ice rink set against the iconic Power Station.

Skate across three beautifully interconnected rinks adorned with sparkling lights and centred around a stunning 30ft Christmas tree, all while taking in spectacular views of the River Thames.

Perfect for everyone, the rink offers a magical experience whether you're planning a romantic date night, testing your skills with fellow skating enthusiasts, or enjoying a family outing with little ones supported by penguin skate aids.

Beyond the ice, the festivities continue with The Glass House bar, vintage-style fairground rides like the towering helter-skelter, live entertainment, and charming photo booths to capture your holiday memories.

1. Santa’s School for Elves

Step inside Santa’s cozy yurt at Battersea Power Station this festive season for a magical encounter with the big man himself and a chance to join Santa’s School for Elves. Guided by his trusty Elves, children will learn the essential skills needed to become one of Santa’s little helpers through fun activities like Elf & Fitness and Arts & Elfy Crafts.

This enchanting 25-minute group experience includes plenty of festive cheer, plus each child receives an official Elf hat and a personalized Elf Academy certificate to commemorate their time at Santa’s magical school.

How to get to Christmas at Battersea Power Station

Travelling by Train

he closest SWR train stations to Battersea Power Station are Queenstown Road (Battersea) and  Vauxhall. The former is 11 minutes’ walk away, while that latter is a touch further at 21 minutes – but the route does include a stretch of the scenic Thames Riverside Walk. Popular services run from Weybridge, Virginia Water, Wokingham and Bracknell.

Travelling within London

You can use the London Underground to make the journey to Battersea Power Station, via the recently completed Northern Line Extension. The Battersea Power Station stop is less than 200 metres from the building itself and provides access from across the city, including directly from London Waterloo.

To travel within the capital, you can use a London Travelcard, as well as Oyster card or contactless.

You can visit Christmas at Battersea Power Station without a ticket but some specific events require prebooking such as Santa’s School for Elves, Workshops and Glide Ice Rink.

The events are open from Thursday 28 November to 4 January. Opening times change depending on the day so be sure to check specific times for when you plan to visit.

Battersea Power Station has made an effort to ensure accessibility for all its guests. Baby changing facilities are conveniently located throughout Battersea Power Station. For added comfort, our family room on Level 1, north side provides a quiet space for feeding your little one. Baby changing stations are also available in both the male and female restroom areas.
