From Sunday 2 February, pay as you go with contactless will be available at 12 additional South Western Railway (SWR) suburban stations, making our customers journeys into and out of London simpler.
This will allow customers to travel between these stations, as well as on the London Underground, DLR, London Buses, Tramlink and National Rail services within the London travel zones (1-9), where contactless is accepted, just by touching in and out using a valid card or device to pay.
The SWR stations listed below are among 47 new National Rail stations in the South East where pay as you go with contactless will be accepted:
- Ashford (Surrey)
- Datchet
- Egham,
- Kempton Park
- Shepperton
- Staines
- Sunbury
- Sunnymeads
- Upper Halliford
- Virginia Water
- Windsor & Eton Riverside
- Wraysbury
Peter Williams, Customer and Commercial Director for South Western Railway said:
“We are pleased that, from February, customers at an additional 12 of our stations will have access to fast and flexible payment, as pay as you go with contactless is introduced.
“Touching in and out at applicable stations will mean less time spent queuing to buy a ticket and will speed up journeys for our customers”
More details about pay as you go with contactless can be found on the SWR website at: southwesternrailway.com/contactless
Pay as you go with contactless for full adult fares is now available at the following SWR stations. Please note that the latest ones to be added (marked with *) are not included within the London Zones and Oyster cannot be used at these stations. Customers eligible for discounts may benefit from continuing to use existing payment methods. If you make the same journey regularly, buying a Season ticket may be better value. Advance tickets or promotional tickets may offer lower fares on some journeys.
