Cancellations to services between Guildford and Haslemere
Due to emergency services dealing with an incident between Guildford and Haslemere all lines are blocked.
What's Going On:
Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
What We're Doing About It:
We have received reports that a person has been struck by a train between Guildford and Haslemere. Our response teams are working with the emergency services to assist with the incident. In order to allow emergency services access to the railway all power to the track will need to be switched off in the affected area.
To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost, on the following services:
Southern Railway services between Portsmouth and London Victoria
You may also use on ticket, at no extra cost, on the following local buses:
First Bus Rail Air 2 between Woking and Guildford
Stagecoach South 34 between Guildford and Woking
Stagecoach South 71 between Guildford - Farncombe - Godalming - Milford - Witley - Haslemere
Stagecoach South 21 between Havant - Bedhampton - Hilsea - Portsmouth stations
Stagecoach South 23 between Havant - Bedhampton - Cosham - Hilsea - Portsmouth stations
Stagecoach South 700 between Havant - Hilsea - Portsmouth stations
We have requested rail replacement buses to run on the following routes, and will advise further once these are in place:
Between Guildford and Havant in both directions, calling at Haslemere, Petersfield and Havant.
Between Guildford and Havant in both directions, calling at Farncombe, Godalming, Milford, Witley, Haslemere, Liphook, Liss, Petersfield, Rowlands Castle and Havant.
Due to the level of disruption between Woking and Portsmouth, passengers are now able to source their own taxis and claim them back through the SWR Website. You will need to provide the following details to make a claim:
Your full contact details.
The time and date of your journey.
The stations you travelled to and from.
A detailed description of the series of events that took place.
Copies of your train ticket/s and taxi receipt.
Unused tickets dated for today (Monday 10/03) between London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour via Guildford, can be used tomorrow (Tuesday 11/03) due to todays disruption incident.

Following emergency services dealing with an incident between Southampton Central and Brockenhurst all lines have now reopened.
What's Going On:
Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
What We're Doing About It:
Following emergency services dealing with an incident between Southampton Central and Brockenhurst, all lines have now reopened.
To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:
- CrossCountry via any reasonable route, we are also accepting CrossCountry tickets.
- GWR and Southern services between Portsmouth and Southampton Central. (Passengers for Southampton or stations beyond Southampton from Waterloo will be able to travel on services towards Portsmouth.)
