Travelling by train
Travelling by train is the easiest and most convenient way to get to the festival. The nearest station to Bournemouth Reggae weekender is Bournemouth, which is served with regular trains from stations such as Southampton Central, Poole, Weymouth and Woking.

Travelling from London
It’s easy to get to Bournemouth from both London Waterloo and Clapham Junction, and you can travel direct from Waterloo to Bournemouth in just under two hours.
Bournemouth Reggae Weekender is a 20 minute bus ride from Bournemouth Station. Hop on the number 22 bus towards Castlepoint, and get off at North Road. The festival is less than a 10 minute walk from there.

Activities include African drumming sessions led by experienced percussionists, African dancing workshops, and a Jamaican sound system museum, where you can learn about the roots of reggae culture, the evolution of sound systems, and their impact on global music.
While you’re at the festival, you can get your hair styled and braided.
There are also kids activities including storytelling with tales from African folklore, and stalls and discussions promoting well-being within the community. Dedicated stalls at the festival aim to raise awareness about prostate cancer, breast cancer, and alcohol and drug abuse.

Food and drink
There are over 20 artisan traders at the festival, offering authentic Jamaican, Guyanese, Nigerian, Ugandan, Kenyan Thai, Greek food and drink and much more .
Tickets to the festival are £30 (it's free entry for under 18s accompanied by a paying adult), and 30% of each ticket sale goes to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Bournemouth Hospital Charity, UHD Charity. Get your tickets.
