November summary

Island line between Ryde Pier Head and Ryde Esplanade will be closed from 6 September 2024 until May 2025.

During the pier’s closure, a minibus shuttle service will operate between Ryde Pier Head and Ryde Esplanade.

Train services will operate every 30 minutes between Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin, maintaining the vital connection between the Island Line and ferry services to the mainland.

Due to maintenance work in the Petersfield area, some late evening services will be cancelled or replaced by buses for all or part of their journey.

The lines in the Tolworth area will be closed all day due to maintenance work.

• London Waterloo to Chessington services will not run. Passengers should travel on other services to Worcester Park.
• Buses will run between Worcester Park and Chessington South calling at Malden Manor, Tolworth, Chessington North and Chessington South.

The lines in the Motspur Park and Epsom areas will be closed all day due to maintenance work.

• London Waterloo to Chessington services will not run.
• London Waterloo to Dorking services will not run.
• London Waterloo to Guildford via Epsom services will start from Leatherhead.
• Passengers should travel on other services to Wimbledon.

• Buses will run between Wimbledon, Leatherhead and Dorking via Epsom.

The lines between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction will be closed all day due to maintenance work.

• London Waterloo to Exeter St Davids services will be revised. Some services will be diverted between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction via Westbury and some services will terminate at Salisbury.
• Reading to Salisbury services will be revised.
• The afternoon London Waterloo to Salisbury stopping services will be revised.
• Buses will run between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction via Tisbury.

The lines in the Guildford area will be closed all day due to maintenance work.

• London Waterloo to Portsmouth via Guildford services will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Guildford and will terminate at Guildford. These services will not call at Woking.
• London Waterloo to Guildford via Woking stopping services will terminate at Woking.
• Buses will run between Woking, Guildford and Haslemere.
• A revised service will run between Haslemere and Portsmouth.
• Ascot to Guildford via Aldershot services will terminate at Aldershot.
• Buses will run between Aldershot and Guildford.

The lines in the Hounslow area will be closed all day due to maintenance work.

• London Waterloo to Woking via Staines services will be revised. These services will be diverted between Barnes and Feltham and will call additionally at Richmond and Twickenham.
• Buses will run between Barnes and Feltham via Hounslow.
• The afternoon and evening London Waterloo to Kingston via Hounslow services will not run.
• Buses will run between Barnes and Twickenham via Hounslow (afternoon and evening only).

The lines between Wareham and Dorchester South will be closed all day due to maintenance work.

• London Waterloo to Weymouth services will terminate at Wareham.
• Fast buses will run between Wareham and Weymouth, calling at Wool.
• Buses will run between Wareham and Dorchester South.
• Additional train services will run between Dorchester South and Weymouth.
